Sam : tv remote App Reviews

I often lose the TV remote and the this enables the "smart" functions extremely hard to use with the annoying one button control. With this being the only app with a smart function, it gives me the whole remote on my phone!

no idea why this app is in the apple app store considering the fact that this app is not compatible with most Apple products??!

This app performs as advertised within the limits of the equipment. Its nice to have an alternative remote at my fingertips and not have to search for the one the kids left who knows where.

This is fantastic! Saved me after losing my remote for an extended period of time. Only complaint is that it can not turn the tv on, but it can turn it off as well as all other normal functions.

It worked well to get my smart 3D tv back working after I lost the remote. It wont turn tv on, but will turn it off. It also can access and use all the smart functions like Netflix. I wish there was an option to buy the app instead of deal with ads.

App detects TV, but when I try to use it, it asks if TV is on and connected to WIFI. When I try to set it up manually, I verify TV IP address and it to app. Again app detects TV, and again it asks if TV is on and connected to WIFI. Bummer. I imagine it is not compatible with current firmware in TV. I would by this for no ad price if it worked.

All of the functions/buttons seem to work fine. Great actually. Just one (big for me) problem that will keep me from making the $11 purchase to go ad-free, and one NOT mentioned in the description: the fact that you cannot turn "on" the tv without first turning "on" the tv. For example: you cannot walk up to an "off" tv, open the app and turn the tv "on". Even after having already made the proper connection between TV/iPhone. Instead, you must first establish a connection between iPhone/iPad and the tv, which requires tv to be powered "on". In conclusion, the app works great. But because of the previously mentioned issue with turning "on" tv, and the fact my goal with this app was to decrease the remotes on coffee table, I cannot justify paying the $11 to take away the seriously annoying adds. I could however see myself paying for the add-free version if I were to have lost the OEM remote. Hope this helps...

Does not work with SUHD TV. Constantly asks if your on the same network despite it "detecting" the TV. There is an overwhelming amount of ads to the point your using YouTube to control your TV.

Wont connect to any of my Samsung smart tv. Keeps telling me to check if tv and phone are on same network which they are.

Found the app randomly. Works great and simple to setup.

Does exactly what I want

Works very well in place of our lost remote control. Better than spending money to get a new one and very convenient.

Lost the remote to my Samsung smart tv and thought of trying an app. This app works everything except turning the tv on, but otherwise fully functional. I am totally willing to walk to the tv and turn it on, to be able to have this extra remote!

Best that there is on the market

Love the app but Smarthub launches w/o keyboard interface when I want to select a music artist. I have to use the arrows and start at A and continue to I get to a M artist. There is a number keypad but doesnt change to alphabet. Otherwise great app.
